mistress mary

I've followed a sketch by Stampin for the weekend today for a change and I've not used a SC digi lol. There are a few garden themed challenges and I chose the lime green because, in the sunshine, at this time of year the grass and leaves are very bright and lush. I've been watching alot of the Chelsea Flower Show on TV  just love that wild loose style of gardening and have been telling hubby to leave the weeds which are all the  rage and Hugh F W  says we can eat the nettles at the weekend ! I don't think he's convinced because I can hear him revving the streamer up as I type.

The background paper is from Elusive Images and the polka dot , daisy dots  and beige doodle buttons are by Pink Petticoat . The cute image is by Mo called Mistress Mary coloured with Promarkers and cut with a spellbinders die. Label is by Bits of ivory from Cuddly Buddly. Ribbons from stash, jute from my dinning room chair lol.

I've hand drawn the backgound and distressed all the papers and image. The buttons are from a necklace I bought and have recycled.

Lots of love

When I first saw this image I thought black white and red, but one of the challenges this week is to use pink red white and cream so I thought it would be fun to have a go with those and see how it turned out.  I think the beauty of some of the challenges is that they sometimes encourage you to do things that you wouldn't normally do and sometimes you you are pleasantly surprised at how things turn out and sometimes you bin it!
Well I'm must admit I'm pleased with my Queen of Hearts so I'm dedicating her to all of the lovely people who visit my blog and leave such beautiful comments. I truly appreciate each and every one of them,  thank you   :D

The Saturated Canary image has been printed onto white card and coloured with Promarkers.
Card stock is cream, floral paper is Papermania, heart paper was in my scrap box and was embossed with a cuttlebug folder , the spellbinders die shape was the waste left over from another project, I made the cream roses the rest are from my stash. The pretty glass heart beads were a bargin from a clearance bin!

Thank you for looking, have a great week Dea xx

Orchard

Hi I'm trying something a bit different on the Dream Valley Challenge this week. They are doing a CASE a DT member. CASE stands for copy and steal/share everything or copy and selectively edit. You just have to mention which DT you're casing. I have chosen to case Kathleen at Crafty Kat Designs although that was quite a tall order lol that's why she's a DT and I'm not! Anyway here's my card it's a Criss Cross card like as is Kat's.

I've used another of Krista's  ( Saturated Canary ) wonderful digi stamps called Orchard . Isn't she adorable? I love her little apron full of apples.

I cut out a cloud shape from some old scrap and used it as a mask for the background . Coloured my image with Promarkers cut the image out with a lables nestie. The apples and leaves were cut out with a punch then coloured in . The background papers are downloads from the apple papers collection from the Etsy shop of Robin Renee Sampson. Lace, ribbon, charm and flowers from my stash.

This shows the tag  for writing your message

Well I hope you like it Hugs Dea xx

Fairy Happy 16th Birthday

I've been working on my husband's laptop lately. My computer is 7 years old and a bit knackered ( like me lol but I'm older than 7!) the USB plugs are playing up and the mouse doesn't work and you have to wiggle the plug for ages to get a connection for the printer to work. The problem is hubby's laptop is windows 7 and I hate the new word pad and as I've mentioned and it isn't an exaggeration I am pretty useless with technology . I love Windows 64 and on Word can whizz around do anything I like but I just can't get to grips with windows 7 at all. So this is why I printed my fairy image off so big and ended up having to make such a huge card.
Half an hour later I managed to scale it down to a size I'm happier with. In the mean time I coloured the image in, because my mum always taught me practise makes perfect, and after I coloured it in I liked it, so I had to use it.

Well here it is

I've used another adorable Saturated Canary digi I'm so totally addicted to these images. She's been coloured with my beloved Promarkers Look at those eyes you could drown in them and the cute lips remind me of my granddaughter Sophie.

I added a little design to her bodice I hope Krista doesn't mind and some white highlights with my souffle pen.

As usual I've used pink petticoat papers ( I'm such a creature of habit)  and lots of different Spellbinders dies . The flowers are made from a paper from the Pink petticoat collection called Wild Blossoms I  printed off a sheet cut them out, curled them with scissors and added a gem from  my stash hey presto!

A little lilac ribbon and a few other diamante . The sentiment reads Wishing you a Fairy Happy 16th Birthday. Hope you like it . Hugs Dea xxx

Hippie Birthday

Few finally found the cable to upload my photos. I'm not surprised I couldn't find it as I'm in the process of totally gutting my craft room what a mess! Now I've created  a complete bomb site in two rooms, my pour hubby ! Still I'm finding it quite exhilarating as I clean out and throw away 5 years worth of' ' that might be useful one day ' not to mention some dubious creations which I thought were wonderful at the time lol.

I've only recently discovered Saturated Canarys' Etsy Shop and was blown away by Kristas' amazing digi stamps needless to say I had to have a few ( well quite a few actually)  Well here's the first one called Hippie

As usual, especially as I'm cleaning out, the background papers are left over scraps . They are Pink Petticoat and old old old . I colour with Promarkers and I really like them. I am still working on my colouring and loving every minute of it.

I've used little paper flowers from my stash coloured with promarkers to complement the garland in her hair and hand cut the peace emblem as a further decoration . I think she's the cutest thing ever.

I"m entering this card in the following challenges
